"The operationalisation of these critical services marks a turning point in our community's access to healthcare and as a Department we have initiated plans to equip the facility with a full hemogram machine that will enable efficient blood testing to aid in timely diagnoses

"The completion of the X-ray block is also  an added diagnostic capability for the facility," said Dr Sang.

In a concerted effort to ensure that essential medications are available, Dr Sang announced that the county government has sufficiently stocked its pharmacy and to better support residents, a revolving fund pharmacy system has also been established.

“This initiative is designed to mitigate the impact of drug shortages, ensuring that patients can access necessary treatments even when supplies are low,” said Dr Sang.

Dr Sang further stressed the importance of disease prevention through early detection, urging stakeholders to promote regular screening initiatives within the community noting that early treatment can save lives therefore the need to raise awareness and encourage proactive health measures among the population.
