Investigations underway to establish cause of tragic fire at Endarasha school

The death toll at the Hillside Endarasha Academy has risen to 17 after another pupil succumbed to injuries.

The pupils are reported dead following a fire incident in one of the dormitories at the institution which is located at Kieni Constituency, Nyeri County.

According to sources, the deceased students were burnt beyond recognition in the blaze that occured on Thursday night.

Several other pupils were rushed to hospital with severe burns.

Police sources says that the cause of the fire is yet to be established.
