Nominated Senator Essy Okenyuri wants security beefed across Kisii County's restive Bomachoge Borabu region.
The call comes days apart after an M-Pesa dealer was heinously killed and his body dumped near a river outside Magena in Bomachoge Borabu.
One of the suspects in the gory killing was cornered, lynched and his car set ablaze in Kegati, Nyaribari Chache.
He was in the company of other five(5) thugs that had gained entry and took the family of a fuel dealer hostage.
The five(5), however, managed to escape on foot when villagers raised alarm.
An assortment of police jackets and knives were also recovered from the vehicle before it was set ablaze.
By Friday last week investigations were still going on according to Kisii County Police Commander Charles Kases.
On Monday, Ms Okenyuri said there has been a spate of unresolved killings in the vast constituency and thus the need for investigations and arrests.
"We are just asking the Interior CS Kithure Kindiki to order a detailed probe into lawless activities. We want to see prosecutions," Ms Okenyuri told journalists at a Kisii hotel.
