A Nairobi woman is facing charges of conspiracy to cause injuries to her sister after inviting her to a house where two friends inserted a glass bottle into the victim's genitals following a dispute over Sh2,700.
MWW is charged alongside the two others who allegedly inserted a 250ml bottle into MGW's private parts inside a house in Kayole, Nairobi.
They are accused of colluding to subject the victim to the injuries in contravention of section 395 (b) of the Penal Code.
MWW is charged jointly with PMK and PLM where they are accused of committing the offence on September 18, 2024.
PMK and PLM are facing multiple charges related to violation of the Sexual Offences Act (SOA) of 2006.
In one of the counts, PMK and PLM are charged with associating in sexually assaulting MWG contrary to section 5 (1) (a) as read with section 5 (2) of the SOA of 2006 where they are accused of unlawfully inserting the bottle into the woman’s genitals on September 18.
Each faces a separate additional charge of committing an indecent act with an adult in contravention of section 11 (a) of SOA where they are accused of touching MWG’s private parts during the ordeal.
The assault happened at a house in Nyamavilla estate where MWG had been invited by her sister.
MWW and MWG who are sisters had a dispute over Sh2,700 prior to the incident and the MWW invited the victim to the house where she was violated.
The victim had been accused of taking off with the money belonging to her sister, MWW.
The complaint was stripped naked before a 250ml glass bottle was pushed into her genitalia and MWW filmed her sister during the incident, and threatened to share the video of the victim on social media.
The complainant sought help to get out of the house where she had been locked up and was rushed to Mama Lucy Kibaki Hospital.
The suspects were pursued by members of the public who arrested and apprehended them to Masimba Police Post where the matter was taken in by the police.
The three(3) suspects denied the charges before Senior Principal Magistrate Douglas Mutiso of the Makadara Law Courts.
The case will be mentioned on Thursday for directions and possible withdrawal after reconciliation.
