Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has said that President William Ruto's Kenya Kwanza administration is committed to finish all the stalled projects before 2027.
Speaking at a Thanksgiving Mass at Riiji Catholic Church in Central Imenti Constituency, Meru County, Prof Kindiki said the national government coffers were initially in deplete, making the economy stressed to a point of stalling projects that had been initiated.
The second in command said the government has set aside enough funds for the stalled projects and contractors are currently on ground.
"We now have enough funds for the stalled projects and contractors are currently on ground. All the stalled road projects will be accomplished before next General Election. In 2022, Kenya was ranking the eighth largest economy in Africa now we are number six in the continent," Prof Kindiki said.
He said the Kenya Kwanza administration has already developed policies to rescue the economy and ensure farmers get the highest earnings from their produce.
"Coffee was selling at Sh50 a kilo two(2) years ago, and now it is selling at Sh130-Sh150. We've realised the highest prices over the last 35 years. This has been achieved due to subsidized fertiliser and inputs.
"Tea and milk prices are also going up. The price of unga has dropped. The dollar has also declined…oil and petrol prices gone down," Prof Kindiki said.
