The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) youth league, led by their President ,John Ole Ketora has thrown its weight behind party leader Oburu Oginga's call for pre-election negotiations and also called for the release of Sh12 billion owed to the Party by the National Treasury.
Speaking in Machakos, Mr Ketora emphasized on the youth league's commitment to pursuing talks, citing the need for coalitions in Kenya's diverse political landscape.
"There's no single party that can rule this country. There must be negotiations and coalitions," Mr Ketora said.
The youth league is also backing Busia Woman Representative Catherine Omanyo's nomination as acting Secretary-General, awaiting due process.
They demanded for inclusion of young leaders into the party Central committee.
"We are the majority and must be heard. We have forwarded two names for inclusion in the Party Central Committee," said Mr Ketora.
However, the youth wing is adamant about resolving outstanding issues, particularly the release of Sh12 billion owed to the party.
