Kenya will host the 25th edition of the East African Community (EAC) Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Trade Fair in Nairobi this November.

The event will mark a major milestone in promoting regional trade and innovation among small businesses.

Cabinet Secretary for Cooperatives and MSME Development, Mr Wycliffe Oparanya, unveiled the National Organising Committee on Thursday.

The team will oversee preparations for the fair, which will run from 1st to 10th November 2025.

“This being the 25th edition, we want to ensure it reflects the growth and resilience of our MSMEs over the years,” said Mr Oparanya.

The trade fair began in 1999 and rotates among EAC member states. Kenya last hosted it in 2019.

Principal Secretary for MSMEs Susan Mang’eni said the government will use the event to open up markets and attract investment for local businesses.

“This platform is about connecting enterprises across the region. It helps create partnerships that uplift our MSMEs,” Ms Mang'eni said.

The annual fair brings together exhibitors from all EAC partner countries. It showcases goods and services, encouraging regional integration and trade.

Mr Oparanya said the committee will manage logistics and help select exhibitors.

It will also coordinate Kenya’s participation to ensure a strong national presence.
