A Kisii County Ward Representative has drafted a petition seeking the sacking of the embattled House Clerk James Nyaoga.
The notification details graft and abuse of office as prime grounds to be relied on by the members to send Mr Nyaoga packing.
He is currently serving an interdiction.
Boochi Tendere MCA James Ondari who brought the notice on Monday, among other reasons, lists gross misconduct, and violation of the Constitution as merits for the clerk's removal from office.
An 11 member committee has since been established by the House to probe Mr Nyaoga.
The dates for his defence were yet to be released by Thursday afternoon.
A member of the committee who requested that we do not reveal his name for sobriety of the matter, said they will be interested to know financial operations at the clerk's office and his actions relating to interdictions of key staff at then Speaker's office.
"We are laying ground work ahead of his appearance here," the source told journalists.
He spoke of the irregular suspension of at least nine(9) staff from Mr David Kombo's office thus hindering 'smooth operations at the office' .
Mr Nyaoga was suspended by the County Assembly Board about two years ago.
The plan to sack him has however rattled a section of the House leadership, with Marani Ward MCA Denis Ombachi saying they are already reading malice.
"What heightens the suspicion is the recent sacking of four(4) other people from the area where Mr Nyaoga hails from. It was bound to raise some suspicions," Mr Ombachi stated.
