Two suspects of motorcycle theft held by police in Kathiani

Police in Kathiani Sub-County are interrogating two(2) suspects who attempted to steal a motorcycle from a rider at Kenol trading centre.
A police officer from Muonyweni police post who didn't want to be mentioned because is not authorised to speak to the media, said the two(2) men are suspected to have escaped with a motorcycle after injuring the boda boda rider on his ribs and knees.
The Friday morning incident got the attention of the public.
‘’We are interrogating the two suspects after being arrested by members of public while trying to escape with the stolen motorcycle," the officer said.
The officer also asked members of public to work with the police to apprehend criminals saying that the two(2) suspects were being held in police custody and will be charged in court.
Several other incidents of criminals on motorbikes have been reported in Mavoko, Machakos Town, and Tala-Kangundo municipality.
The officer advised boda boda operators to form and register business saccos in order to ensure strangers in any operation zone are easily identified for security purposes.
