Capt William Ruto’s daughter Mitchelle to be laid to rest on Friday
A funeral service in remembrance of Mitchelle Jelimo Kemboi, the daughter of Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) Managing Director Capt. William Ruto, will be held at the family home in Mochongoi today, Thursday.
This follows the arrival of her body in Nakuru from Mombasa on Wednesday.
On Tuesday, Mombasa leaders and the public gathered at CITAM Nyali to pay their respects to Mitchelle ahead of the burial.
The memorial service formed part of the ongoing funeral arrangements following her tragic death in a road accident in Taita Taveta.
Among those present was Mombasa Governor Abdulswamad Nassir, who joined family, friends, and the KPA fraternity in expressing solidarity and mourning the profound loss.
“In moments like these, words fall short. The pain of losing a child is immeasurable, and our hearts remain with the family,” Mr Nassir said.“May her soul rest in eternal peace, and may God grant strength and comfort to all who mourn.”
