Caring Hearts High celebrates KCSE mean score of 8.526 in Machakos County

A new entrant is basking in the glory of good performance in 2025 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) exams after recording a mean of 8.526 to emerge among the best schools in Machakos County.

Caring Hearts High School, in its continued performance in the KCSE exam, had two students scoring grade A, seven A-, 12 B+, 23 B, 30 B-, 16 C+ while five others scored C.

School proprietor Dr Vincent Kituku has been sponsoring needy students in the school and in other schools.

The school's principal, Gabriel Kimetu, said the attribute of the school's good performance is hard work among students and dedication among the staff and cooperation of parents.

"We expected the students to perform better because they were well prepared and were a disciplined lot but the majority of them are going to university," he said.

The school has continued to post sterling results in KCSE recently.

“It’s teamwork among parents, us and students which plays an important role in making students pass their examination, besides the hard work and dedication by my very cooperative teaching staff,” Mr Kimetu added.

He said producing the top student in the sub-county had put them on the map.

“We expected the students to perform better because they were well prepared and were all disciplined a lot. Majority of them are going to university,” he added.

He said many students who passed through the school are now pursuing prestigious courses in various universities and colleges across the country.

“We have doctors, engineers, IT experts, surveyors and many others in the making who are training in various universities across Kenya and beyond,” the principal added.

The students who spoke thanked Dr Kituku for sponsoring them so as to complete their studies.

Dr Kituku has been sponsoring students from needy families over the years and his school, Caring Hearts High School, is famous for producing some of the best brains in the country.
