Each candidate’s results will be accessible online by visiting the KNEC portal.

With the release of the 2025 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) results, the only official way to check individual scores is online through the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) results portal.

Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Ogamba confirmed that each candidate’s results will be accessible online by visiting the KNEC portal and entering their index number and one of their registered names.

Step‑by‑step online access

Open your internet browser on phone or computer, use a stable connection.

Go to the official results page
Type https://results.knec.ac.ke/ in the address bar and press Enter.

Enter the candidate’s details

Input the 11‑digit KCSE index number.

Enter any one of the registered names exactly as given during exam registration.

Click the box to agree if prompted.

Click Submit or View Results.

The candidate’s KCSE results will be displayed on the screen.

You can save, screenshot, print or download for your records.

Unlike earlier years when results could be checked by sending an SMS, the SMS method is no longer available for KCSE results.
