Six dead as helicopter bursts into flames in Nandi County

Six people have been confirmed dead after a helicopter crashed and burst into flames in Chepkiep, Mosop Sub‑County, Nandi County on Saturday afternoon, local police authorities say.

In an official statement, Nandi County Police Commander Mr Samuel Mukuusi said the aircraft went down and victims lost their lives in the incident.

Photos and videos shared online showed the helicopter engulfed in flames at the crash site, while residents and emergency responders converged to assist and secure the area.
