African Brotherhood Church Bishop Meshack Mukwilu in his New Year message has called on leaders to embrace ethical behaviour which will enhance peace in the country and bring progress.
Bishop Mukwilu said living ethically was Godly as this will create harmony, adding that God exults in seeing His creation co-exist peacefully.
"The best thing is to love one another and forgive one another because no one is perfect. At the end, we will all die," said Dr Mukwilu.
The Bishop said the church starts from the family and when the family is in harmony, the country will automatically be in peace.
He added that development should also start from the individual to the family and the church so that the country can be said to be developed.
"It should not be said the Country is developed when individuals are not developed. It's not a question of God helping the Country or the church. All must be developed because God is love," the Bishop said in his sermon delivered at the church in Wote during end-year service and ushering in of the New Year 2025.
He said the focus should be on the family and the society for the Country to experience true progress.
Dr Mukwilu also called on Kenyans to keep peace and hope as they navigate through hardships in this new year.
He called on Kenyans to maintain peace and also embrace the hardworking culture as they strive to fend for their families amid tough economic times.
"My new year message to Kenyans is to maintain peace at all places and work resiliently because this is the only way we will deal with the struggles occasioned by the country's harsh economy," he said.
Dr Mukwilu added, "As we usher in the New Year 2025, let us pray for our country and our leaders including the President for good stewardship."
