Bishop Mukwilu to Knec: ‘Ensure national examinations are credible’

The Kenya National Examinations Council (Knec) has been urged to ensure that this year's national examinations run smoothly.

Bishop Meshack Mukwilu of Africa Brotherhood Church said irregularities affect the country's education system and reputation negatively and should be avoided at all costs.

"I call upon Knec to take all steps necessary to ensure smooth running and credibility of the 2024 national examinations by involving all the stakeholders including the candidates, parents, the public, and the media so to prevent cases of cheating during exams period," Dr Mukwilu said when contacted by AVDelta News by phone on Tuesday.

Dr Mukwilu also asked the Government to ban discos during exams period across the country.

The bishop also wished candidates sitting the exams best of luck saying that he is praying for them for God's blessings to be upon them throughout the examinations period.

Form 4 students started their test on Tuesday and they are expected to complete on November 22, 2024, while the Kenya Primary Schools Education Assessment KPSEA test will be administered starting October 28 and end on November 1, 2024.
