Shock as Nyamira residents stumble on bodies of four women

  • An officer said they are yet to determine the motive of the killings.

Police in Nyamira are undertaking investigations into the mysterious Monday night spree killings of four(4) women in separate incidents.

In the first one, the body of a woman aged around 28 was stumbled on near a rickety bridge at Nyakongo area in Kitutu Masaba.

Local chief Duncan Mogaka told journalists the deceased may have been killed elsewhere and the body hauled to the scene by her assailants.

"We are, however, yet to identify her by name," Mr Mogaka told reporters.

The body was later transferred by police to Keroka Hospital Mortuary.

In another separate incident, another body was found sprawled on the ground at Kitaru area in Borabu sub-County.

Villagers said they were baffled by the killings and asked the government to enhance security in the area.

In a third incident, the body of a yet to be identified woman was found near Motagara area early Tuesday.

Another body was dumped by the roadside along the Ikonge-Chebilat Road near Mogusíi Farm.

Residents in Nyamira now suspect a serial killer on the lose.

No fatality had been identified by press time.

An officer said they are yet to determine the motive of the killings.

"By the end we shall get to know if it is gang related or they were done separately," an officer told AVDelta News
