Woman stabs alleged intruder, troublemaker at her home in Kiambu

A woman confronted and stabbed to death a man who allegedly broke into her house in Kerwa Town, Kiambu County.
Police said they had questioned the woman to get more information about the incident, which happened at dawn on January 5.
The dead man's body was found sprawled in the woman's house with stab wounds to his chest.
The woman told police that the slain man had forced his way into her home without her permission, leading to a confrontation in which she grabbed a kitchen knife to fight him off.
She told police she was asleep when she heard a commotion from the living room.
She then confronted the man, leading to the fatal stabbing.
The bloody kitchen knife was recovered and retained as the murder weapon, police said.
Police said they had taken the body to the mortuary pending autopsy and other investigations.
Kiambu police commander Michael Muchiri said they were investigating the incident.
Security has been stepped up in parts of the country in response to armed robberies.
